Images and regeneration
Two tools sit alongside every draft you create: generating an AI image to go with a piece, and regenerating a piece (or part of it) to get a fresh take. Both are real generations, so both spend credits from your allowance each time you run them.
What it is
When a draft needs a visual, you can have the TrueTone System create an AI image for it. When a draft is not quite right, you can regenerate it in your voice instead of starting over. These are separate actions that share one thing in common: each one asks the system to produce something new, so each one draws credits. A regeneration is priced by what you actually redo, and it never costs more than generating that Channel fresh.
Neither replaces plain editing. Typing your own changes into a draft you already generated is always free. Credits are only spent when you ask the system to generate or regenerate.
Who it is for
Every loan officer with a paid seat. Images and regeneration are part of the normal create-and-refine loop, so you will reach for them constantly: an image to finish a blog or social post, a regeneration to sharpen a draft that is close but not there yet.
Generating an AI image
Some Channels use a picture. A blog post needs a featured image, and a social post can include one. Rather than hunting for stock art, you can describe what you want and let the system render it.
You give it three things:
- A short description of what the image should show. This is optional; if you leave it blank, the system draws on the seed or the piece it belongs to for inspiration.
- A style. There are ten to choose from: Photorealistic, Cinematic, Illustration, Retro Vintage, Hyper Pop, Comic Book, Watercolor, 3D Animated, Anime, and Pixel Art.
- A shape. Square, landscape (wide), and portrait (tall, ideal for stories and reels).
AI images come back deliberately free of text, logos, and watermarks. That leaves the picture clean so you can lay your own headline, rate, or branding over it if you want to.
Generating an AI image is a flat cost, no matter the style or shape you pick.
Regenerating a piece
If a draft is not landing, regenerate it. The system writes a new version in your TrueTone Profile voice, keeping the same topic. You can steer the new version two ways:
- With change instructions. Tell it what to adjust in plain language, for example “make it shorter,” “warmer tone,” or “lead with the rate drop.” The system rewrites with your note in mind.
- Without any instructions. Leave the box blank and you simply get a fresh take on the same content, written in your voice. This is useful when the draft is fine but you want a different angle to compare.
A regeneration does not overwrite your draft on its own. The new version appears for you to review first, and it is saved only when you choose to apply it. If you prefer what you had, keep it and nothing changes.
Regenerating part of a social post
A social post is a caption plus, optionally, an image. You do not have to redo both. When you regenerate a social post you can choose to refresh the caption only, the image only, or both together. Regenerating just the image swaps the picture while your caption stays exactly as it is.
How it works
Open the piece or seed
Go to the draft in your creations library, or the seed you are working from. The image and regenerate controls live right on the piece.
Choose what to do
Ask for an image and pick a style and shape, or press regenerate and add optional change instructions. For a social post, pick whether you are refreshing the caption, the image, or both.
Review the result
Watch the new image or draft come back. A regeneration is shown as a preview next to what you already had, so you can compare before committing.
Apply or discard
Keep the new version by applying it, or discard it and hold on to your original. Credits are spent on the generation itself, not on whether you apply it.
What each action costs
A regeneration is priced by the part you redo, so refreshing just a caption costs less than producing the whole post again, and running two parts together prices the second part at a bundled discount. A regeneration never costs more than generating that Channel fresh. The app always shows you the exact credit quote before you commit, so there are no surprises.

Regenerating is a real generation, so it spends credits every time you run it, even if you decide not to apply the result. Editing a draft yourself, by contrast, is free. If you only need to change a word or a line, edit it directly rather than regenerating the whole piece.
Good to know
- You only pay for work you receive. Credits are set aside when a generation starts and are returned if it does not finish, so a failed image or regeneration is not charged.
- A paid, active plan is required. Image generation and regeneration are paid features, drawn from the same credit allowance as every other generation.
- The live quote is the source of truth. The numbers above are the standard costs; the credit quote shown in the app right before you generate always reflects the current price.
- Bundling is cheaper than two separate runs. Refreshing a caption and its image together prices the image at the bundled rate, so the pair costs the same as a fresh social post rather than more.
