On your own account

If you work on your own, with no company account and no Compliance Admin, checks are there to help, not to hold you up. TrueTone fixes what it writes and advises you on what you write. You always decide what goes out.

What you get

  • The same checks. Drafts are checked as they are written, your edits are checked when you save, and a social caption is checked as you type.
  • Fixed drafts. If a line TrueTone wrote breaks a federal ad rule, it is fixed before you see the draft.
  • Advice on your edits. When your own words draw a flag, you see why and a suggested fix. Fix it, change it yourself, or keep it.
  • State rules as warnings. Rules for the states you are licensed in, and any state your words name, show as amber warnings. They are advice only.

What never happens

  • You decide what goes out. A flagged line is advice. You can post, schedule, or export a piece whether or not it has a flag.
  • No pop-ups or extra steps. Flags sit on the words themselves, and you deal with them only if you want to.
  • No review queue. There is no Compliance Admin on a personal account, so nothing is sent anywhere for review.
  • No forced legal line on captions. Your NMLS line under captions is off unless you turn it on. See Your NMLS line and Equal Housing.
⚠️

A passing label is not legal approval, and no person reviewed the piece. You are responsible for what you publish.
