Free checks and daily limits
Checks never spend credits. Full checks are free within two limits, and when you reach one, the Basic check simply takes over. A limit never blocks a piece and never charges you.
The two limits
| Limit | How many full checks |
|---|---|
| Per piece | 3 |
| Per loan officer, per day | 20, resetting at midnight UTC |
What counts
These use a full check:
- Fix it on a flagged line
- Answering a question, such as adding an APR
- The check after you regenerate a piece
- The full check on a saved edit
These never count:
- The check while TrueTone writes the draft
- The Basic check on a save, and the Basic check as you type
- Keep as is
- The check when a piece is released
A Fix it on a line that a full check found does not count against that piece’s three, but it does count toward your daily twenty.
What you see at a limit
When a save reaches a limit, a short note says the save got the Basic check instead: “This piece has had its three full checks, so this save got the basic check.” or “You’ve used today’s full checks, so this save got the basic check. They reset at midnight UTC.”
Fix it needs a full check, so at a limit it does not run. Instead it says the piece has had its three checks, or that you have used today’s checks, and that the basic check still runs. You can still edit the line yourself or keep it.
The Basic check never gives a passing label. If a piece has only had the Basic check, its label reads “Basic ad checks, nothing flagged” rather than a pass.
