The TrueTone Connector

The TrueTone Connector puts your TrueTone account inside your AI assistant. Connect it once and your assistant can list your seeds, generate a post in your voice, check your credit balance, or put something on the calendar, all from the middle of a conversation.

It speaks MCP, the open protocol assistants use for tools, and lives at:

You sign in, you never paste a key. The first time your assistant reaches TrueTone, your browser opens a TrueTone sign-in and you approve the connection with your own account, through OAuth. There is no API key to create, copy, or leak, and you can revoke the connection from your account at any time. API keys belong to the TrueTone API; the Connector never uses them.

Claude

In Claude on the web or desktop:

Open Settings, then Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector.
Paste the Connector URL: https://mcp.truetone.ai/api/mcp
Click Add, then sign in with your TrueTone account when the browser prompt appears.

TrueTone’s tools then appear in Claude’s tool menu for your conversations.

Claude Code

One command in your terminal:

The first TrueTone call in a session opens the sign-in in your browser. After you approve, the session is connected.

Cursor

Add TrueTone to your MCP configuration, globally in ~/.cursor/mcp.json or per project in .cursor/mcp.json:

Enable it under Settings, then MCP, and complete the sign-in when Cursor prompts you.

Same rules, same meter

The Connector is a second door into the same house. Tools spend the same credits as the matching API calls and the app, from the same balance, and your billing activity names the TrueTone Connector on every line it produces, so you can always see what your assistant spent. Refusals follow the same contract as the API’s errors, translated into messages your assistant can act on.

Voice is not negotiable at this door either: everything the Connector writes comes from your stored TrueTone Profile. An assistant cannot instruct TrueTone to sound like someone else.
