Company compliance settings

Org admins find these under Settings, Compliance. How strict each Channel is belongs to your Compliance Admin, on Gate Coverage; this tab shows it read only under “What gets checked”. Every change here is recorded with the name of the person who made it.

Compliance Admin

Name your Compliance Admin and follow their status. See Setting up a Compliance Admin.

Licensed states

“Where your company is licensed to lend.” Company pieces and company pages are checked against these states’ rules. Until they are set, company pieces are checked against federal rules only, plus any state the words name.

Compliance Disclaimer

Your company’s disclaimer text, up to 5,000 characters. It appears on finished content, such as an email footer or a video end card.

Release

Pieces your Compliance Admin accepts can go out one of two ways:

OptionWhat happens
Release accepted pieces by our policyOnce your Compliance Admin accepts a piece, the loan officer can post or schedule it. Its record names your policy and who accepted it.
An org admin authorizes each releaseAn accepted piece shows Waiting for release until an org admin authorizes it. See Releasing accepted pieces.

A change applies to pieces accepted after you save.

Release clean checks automatically on Enforced channels. When a check on an Enforced Channel finds nothing, the piece is released without waiting for an org admin. A piece with a warning still goes to your Compliance Admin, a blocking line still has to be fixed, and Channels set to Always review still wait for a reviewer. Off until you turn it on.

Checks while writing

Check drafts while they are written. Each draft is checked against your company’s rules before your loan officers see it. Nothing goes to a reviewer, and it does not change what is held before release. When off, drafts get the Basic check.

Require the NMLS line on every caption. Puts each loan officer’s name, NMLS ID, your company NMLS ID and Equal Housing Opportunity under every caption and blog. Loan officers see the switch locked on in their profile. When off, each loan officer chooses. See Your NMLS line and Equal Housing.
